In short
- We only use your details to reply to your enquiry, price your bathroom and carry out the work.
- We never sell your details, and we don't send marketing unless you've asked for it.
- The website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time.
Who we are
Fit My Bathroom is a trading name of Fitted Network Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13462599). Our registered office is Unit G02 The Lightbox, 111 Power Road, London W4 5PY.
We are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@fitmybathroom.co.uk or on WhatsApp.
What we collect
When you ask for an estimate. Your name, phone number, email address, how you'd like us to contact you and your postcode. We also collect what you tell us about the bathroom: the type of property, room size, layout, products, style, budget and timing, any notes, the photos you upload and any online estimate you attach.
When you call, email or WhatsApp us. Your number or email address, your messages and any photos or documents you send.
If you become a customer. The property address and access arrangements, survey notes and measurements, your quote and contract, product choices, payment records, photos taken during the work and our correspondence with you.
When you visit the website. Our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. The website itself sets no cookies. While you fill in the estimate form, your answers are kept in your browser's session storage, so you don't lose them between steps. They stay on your device and are cleared when you send the form or close the tab.
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and some photos from Unsplash, so those services receive your IP address when a page loads. They don't receive anything you type into our forms.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
Data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of personal information. Ours are:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry, prepare your estimate and arrange a survey | Steps you've asked us to take before entering into a contract |
| Plan and carry out the work, order products, take staged payments and honour our guarantee | Performing our contract with you |
| Keep accounting and tax records, and notify building control or a certification scheme about notifiable electrical work | Legal obligation |
| Follow up once or twice on an estimate you haven't decided on | Legitimate interests (you can tell us to stop at any time) |
| Keep the website secure and stop spam | Legitimate interests |
| Show photos of your finished bathroom on our website or social media | Your consent, which you can withdraw. We never publish your name or address. |
We won't send you marketing emails or messages unless you've agreed to them.
Who we share it with
- Our team and the trades on your project, such as plumbers, electricians and tilers. They get only what they need for the job: usually the address, access details and the specification.
- Suppliers and delivery companies, who get a delivery address and a contact number.
- Service providers who process information for us: website hosting (Vercel), email delivery for the estimate form (Resend), our email and business software, and our accountants and insurers.
- Building control or a competent person scheme, when the law requires certain electrical work to be registered. They receive the property address and details of the work.
We never sell your personal information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers, including Vercel and Resend, are based in the United States. Where your information is handled outside the UK, it's protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the ICO's international data transfer agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: 12 months after we last heard from you, then deleted.
- Customer records: 6 years after the work is finished, for tax and accounting rules and in case of a guarantee claim.
- Photos used with your consent: until you ask us to remove them.
- Website logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- delete your information, where we no longer need it for a contract or a legal reason
- restrict or stop a particular use, including any follow-up about an estimate
- send your information to you or another organisation in a common format
- withdraw your consent, for example to us showing photos of your bathroom
Email hello@fitmybathroom.co.uk. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it secure
The website runs over an encrypted connection, enquiries arrive by email at our office only, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it for your project. Trades and suppliers get the minimum needed to do their part.
